The SU Market, a weekly multicultural place

The University of Essex is the 15th most international university in the world, according to Times Higher Education (2017). Its weekly street market is a multicultural space that reflects this figures.

The Colchester campus embraces a street market every Thursday. This weekly market organised by the Student’s Union, which made its debut in October 2013, takes place in Square 3 from 10.30am to 3.30pm. There, students can find a great variety of stands: from goodies, vegetables and vintage clothing, to vinyl records and handmade jewellery.

With students coming from more than 140 countries in the campus, the SU street market welcomes everyone. The diversity of food illustrates the international and multicultural level of this university. Let’s take a close look…
